11th April 2024: Today is a sad day. Dido has had to be put to sleep because from one day to the other her arthritis – her joints and bones “collapsed”. She was a great working dog and did fit perfectly to our picking up gang. Especially on grouse she never missed anything and even brought the “stinkers” without hesitation! She was a clown in some ways with her own mind and never did anything if she wasn’t convinced of it.
With five years she did fall into a ditch and was very lame. Angela (McTimoney animal therapist) treated her very successfully. When Dido got older she could benefit from regular treatment and laser therapy. Thank you Angela, you did so much for her. Today is a sad day – but now Dido can run free again. With a deep-drawn sigh she said good bye to all the pain! RIP
