1st June 2021 Nothing is permanent but change (Elbert Hubbard) The weather in May was wet, cold, rainy... ...just unpleasant. The low-pressure area stayed "forever". But finally - at the end of the month a change: a high with lovely sunshine and warm temperatures. Everything starts to flower... ...even the succulents in our walls. All the sheep around us enjoy the lovely weather... ...and as a change: cattle on one side of Whitethorn! They are very curious and interested in our dogs! Also adders like to bask in the sun. Normally the adder (the only venomous snake native to the UK) is a timid and non-aggressive snake but when provoked she injects a venom into its prey. Unfortunately Fake provoked (unintentionnaly) an adder into biting her face. This changed her look for some days! The same happened 2015 to her mother Zoe... ...and 2014 to aunt Ziva! After getting some antitoxin intravenously at the vet, the swelling gets better every day... ...and about a week later: All are fine again. Another change: We both got our two Covid-19 vaccinations and IF all the restrictions in England will be lifted on 21st of June...!!??! Let's wait and see - time will tell!
