29th April 2020 Staying at home… Since 1 year our orchid stays at home and is growing and growing - but can't go out. For others, staying at home may be difficult and frustrating,... ...but there are things that you can do to make it easier! We can enjoy house and garden,... ...the empty roads,... ...the blooming hawthorn:... ..."CRATAEGUS" - commonly called hawthorn or WHITETHORN! The monarch butterfly is busy,... ...the flowers in our garden blossom,... ...and our flowerbaskets look beautiful... ...with all the different colours. The ewes with their lambs enjoy the sun... ...and the silence! Although all schools are closed - the "outdoor playschools" are open... ...and the lambs enjoy it. Lockthorn Fenton (our neighbours dog) doesn't mind to stay at home. He is the best nurse for lamb orphans... ...and takes his work at home very seriously! The lockdown doesn't exist for birds as the sparrow... ...or the golden plover... ...the skylark,... ...the yellowhammer and many more. Keyword in April: Social distancing...!! Stay safe, stay at home.
