31st January 2020 End of season 2019/20: Lealhom and elsewhere… Lealholm - one of the prettiest village in Yorkshire in a lovely countryside. End of season - but the nice memories remain. Nice memories... of a lot of faces, old and new ones... ...of the tireless beaters... ...all enjoying the day in a peaceful part of this countryside. Being there is what matters: Especially for our captain of the shoot who surveys the day. This isn't always easy - particularly not if uninvited visitors turn up! They probably are not here to watch the pheasants but... ...they seem to be very nosey to know what happens around them! There are guns waiting - full of concentration and... ...and dogs in action! They are retrieving birds - even big birds... ...and birds out of the river! While the guns walk to the next pegs... ...they enjoy the rich colouring of the nature (even in winter),... ...and all the proceedings around the shooting day! Lealholm: an idyllic place on the River Esk during a beautiful sunset. Remaining impressions - and it won't take too long for the coming season! Before the shooting season finishes Flint could prove that he did benefit from Lealholm. Daniel entered him at the 16 dog Novice Trial of the Yorkshire Retriever Field Trial Society on 21.1. at Snilesworth. The terrain is magnificient but quite difficullt. Flint does very well and becomes second! Congratulations to the Winner & Guns Choice - Kirsty Howson with Crooklet Ferris Lunefirefly. 2nd place - Daniel Marx with Lockthorn Flint of Oysterbed. 3rd Place - Bill Lambell with Eiderbay Ribble. CoM - Brian Dodsworth with Hazeloaks Thistle.
