2nd June 2020 Easing of Lockdown? Finally some good news - after nearly 2 months Lockdown... ...dogs AND humans are allowed to go out - not only in the garden! How wonderful to drive to "our" moor to meet some sheep and cattle. This year's cattle herd seems to be more familiar with dogs than with humans. They are quite curious... ...and love to rove around... ...as well as our dogs! The gang loves the moorland - running amidst the cotton grass. What an amazing sight with a sea of fluffy white heads... ...that spreads out before the "Lockthorns". Cotton grass: it's not cotton and it's not grass - it is actually a sedge. The buds are essential for the female red grouse to improve condition. At the moment we don't know if the "glorious twelfth" will be postponed... But time will tell if the easing of Lockdown is going on... ...or if we have to be patient.
