26th November 2017 On a golden autumn day… Probably nobody can resist to enjoy beautiful autumn days in the North Yorkshire moors. Everything seems to be bathed in golden light:... ...gnarled trees... ...Skelton Tower at Levisham Moors... ...the Highland cows... ...and grouse! Even the signpost seems to be golden,... ...the little station at Levisham... ...or the picturesque village of Levisham. Even the Staindale Lake at Dalby Forest is autumnal,... ...the ducks are quacking in the sun,... ...the heron warms itself by the sunbeams. The hedgehog enjoys this golden autumn... ...as well as the Simmenthaler cows from our new neighbour (coming from Scotland!). Our Lockthorns like the chilly air of the season. May we introduce - from left to right:... Ziva is fit as a fiddle... ...as well as her sister Zoe Our youngster Fake is a power pack... ...as well as our crazy Duffy that still can't retrieve in a "normal" speed! Even if Duffy's sister Dido is our specialist on game she still retrieves a dummy happily. Speaking of power pack: "D"-litter brother Dice (enjoying autumn half-term in Whitethorn) is a real Lockthorn - isn't he? Zoe and her daughter Fake say "good bye summer - hello autumn - or reverse:" hello autumn and good bye summer"...? And the twinkling eyes of 12 years old Temba (litter sister to Tara) mean: "what could be better than a golden autumn"!
