Swift & Tara got a COM!

At the beginning it didn't look bright: We entered Swift and Tara for a lot of Open trials  - but not many runs! But if they are not too far behind as reserve - one never knows?

For the trial of the "The North of Scotland Gundog Association" Tara had been fifth and Swift tenth reserve. One week before the trial took place Tara was offered a run - and two nights before even Swift got one! Therefore the six-hours drive was worthwhile!

Daniel was glad not to travel alone, Raphael, his godson was with him as  "coach", "dog-caddie", photographer, ....!

After the first day the judges took 10 dogs to the second day - among them both our bitches! In the end just five dogs have been left - including Swift and Tara (the judges: Alan Rountree, Bill Ferguson, John Stubbs und Alan Rees). The last retrieve was the "key"-retrieve (unfortunately) - both bitches lost the placing under the top dogs!

But both got a COM (Certificate of Merit) and Daniel got the trophies for Best Bitch und Guns Choice!

Raphael, thank you ever so much, without your help it wouldn't have been so easy to handle two dogs!
