Tara wins a 16 Dog All Ages Stake ...

The Yorkshire Retriever Field Trial Society did held a 16 Dog  All Age Stake at Ganton on the 18th of Ocotber (judges: Mr. D.J. Benson, Mr. A.B. Cooper, Mrs. N. Halstead und Mr. R.M. Gill).

There is not much to say about Ganton: A small village in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire (most notable for its golfcourse than anything else!).

Until the afternoon Tara did work strong. For the last retrieve just 2 dogs have been left. A partridge was shot far away in the stubble field (one just could catch a glimpse of it). The dog had to run down the field, over a little fence, through a hedge, a little fence again. Behind in the stubble field there have been many falls and Daniel had to handle Tara more than once to bring her to the partridge. That was the win - but because of this last retrieve the judges gave her a second. The guns awarded her Gun's Choice, congratulation!

... and Tara got another COM at a 2 Days Open Stake AV

Hard to believe - actually we don't organise a sightseeing for churches - but on the 20th of October Tara had another run, this time at Blankney - a very small village - and nearly anything else to take pictures then a nice church!

(And during the trial the handler had no time to take any pictures - understandably!!).

The 24 Dog Open Stake of the Midland Counties Labrador Retriever Club took place at Blankney Estates, Lincolnshire and was judged by: Mrs Robin Wise, Mr Derek Capel, Mr Richard Bekerleg and Mrs Joy Venturi Rose. An illustrious number of participants have been drawn: Tony Parnell, Richard King, Tess Lawrence, Stan Harwey, Keith Broomfield, Peter Hammond, Mike Tallamy ... just to name some of them. After the first day still 15 (!) dogs have been left for the second day ... and again it was the last retrieve! But at the end another COM for Tara, not bad at all!
