Among hikings and shooting days with the older dogs there is enough time for Duffy & Dido to "prepare" them for their future work as gundog ...

New regulations for entering the UK!

Unbelivable, from 1 January 2012 the rules have changed:

1. The dog first has to be microchipped (as before)

2. vaccination against rabies (valid 1-3 years, depending on manufacturer)

3. waiting period before entry to the UK is 21 days (new)

4. Tapeworm treatment, administered by a vet (min. 24 hours and new max. 5 days old) - no requirement for tick treatment anymore.

We have tried it: Dido & Duffy (nearly 9 months old) - and of course all the other Lockthorn's - have celebrated New Year in Switzerland and they returned to England on 2nd of January without any difficulty.
